Events to be held in India for World Day of Remembrance 2008

Organised and promoted by ArriveSAFE, an Indian Road Safety

On Sunday 16th of November at Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh (in association with The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO) and AIESEC, an intenational student association) the following activities will take place:

• Release of Balloons in memory of victims from boats. The boats themselves will form a message.
• 297 pairs of shoes representing number of fatalities happening in India everyday to depict the colossal waste of life.
• 10 feet high figure of woman holding a baby (representing LIFE), using newspaper headlines regarding accidents, collected by us over the years to further reinforce the gravity of the situation.
• Music.
• Banners with messages on Road Safety
• Distribution of souvenirs with Road Safety messages to general public.
