In Slovenia a new organization called Safe Journey Institute decided to mark that day with a help of other organizations. In honor of the memory of traffic-related victims WHO – Slovenia and Safe Journey Institute organized an event on the evening of 17th November that was followed by lighting candles in Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. We also called on the public to light candles in their own homes. Lit candles on that night served as a sign of solidarity and reflection regarding the loss of the dearest family members, friends, and acquaintances, and expressed support to the victims and their families. That day was marked as a day with only one wish: “A day without traffic accidents.”
